Firm History

1992-1993: Law clerk to the Honorable Rosalyn B. Bell on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.

1994: Opened Law Office of Lisa J. Sansone.

1994-present: Represent criminal defendants for serious felonies in state and federal appeals, on post conviction and in federal habeas corpus proceedings; represent civil clients in state and federal appeals.

1995: Second chair death penalty trial involving alleged double homicide.

1996-1997: Litigated federal class action lawsuit against major national company for overtime violations. Represented 22 plaintiffs. Opposing counsel was largest law firm in the country. Case was settled in favor of plaintiffs.

1997: Conducted multi-million dollar construction arbitration before a retired federal judge against one of the largest construction companies in the country. Opposing counsel was large D.C. law firm.

1997: Litigated complex state homicide post conviction involving nationally-recognized forensic audiology experts. Subsequently litigated Habeas Corpus proceeding in United States District Court and Fourth Circuit.

1998-present: Represent plaintiffs in complex tort actions and in criminal appeals, post convictions and actual innocence cases.
